这张专辑由John的生前好友Eric Clapton牵头，MarkKnopfler，Don White，Tom Petty，John Mayer， Derek Trucks， Willie Nelson等受过他影响的音乐人助阵，翻唱了许多当年JJ Cale不太出名的经典作品，作为对他音乐生涯的纪念与致敬。这张专辑卖的不错，远超作为JJ Cale生前出过的任何一张。 而专辑名“微风”就是为了致敬Call me the Breeze——来自JJ Cale 1972年的专辑Naturally，是JJ第一张专辑的第一首歌。由于当时条件有限，资金紧张，在四十多年前的录制过程中，JJ Cale不得不用鼓机来代替请鼓手来演奏。而在2014年的纪念JJ Cale的专辑里，Eric也用了当年的鼓机作为致敬。JJ本人绝不会想到，当年自己的窘迫之举，现如今倒成了致敬。正如他想不到自己的歌居然会在电台上播放一样。
